Ujamaa Club Black Business Directory

More Than a Directory. A Movement for Collective Economic Empowerment

Every dollar that leaves our community without returning weakens our ability to create jobs, build wealth, and invest in future generations.

The Ujamaa Club Black Business Directory was created to change that.

Inspired by the principle of Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) from the Nguzo Saba, this directory is designed to help Black-owned businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, professionals, and consumers intentionally support one another.

When one business succeeds, our entire community becomes stronger…

Our goal is simple:
Build an economic ecosystem where Black dollars circulate longer, Black businesses gain more customers, and Black communities become more financially self-sustaining.

Why Join?
  • Your annual listing support is not simply paying for advertising.
  • It is an investment in building an economic system that works for all of us.

Your support helps us:
  • Promote Black-owned businesses year-round.
  • Connect businesses with customers looking to #BuyBlack.
  • Increase business-to-business purchasing.
  • Help nonprofits connect with volunteers, donors, and sponsors.
  • Create opportunities for youth entrepreneurship and workforce development.
  • Build stronger local and national Black business networks.
  • Develop data that demonstrates the economic impact of Black businesses.

Together, thousands of small investments create a powerful economic engine.

Imagine the Possibilities

Imagine if…
  • 5,000 Black businesses joined.
  • Every business referred just one new customer each month.
  • Every business intentionally purchased from another Black-owned business.
  • Every nonprofit found new donors and volunteers through the network.
  • Every consumer knew exactly where to spend their money.
That is how communities build wealth.

Not one business at a time.

Together…

“Will you invest $12.50 per month to help build the largest cooperative network of Black-owned businesses in America while growing your own business?”
